What does Super Cream do?
No matter what the nature of your skin problem is whether it's eczema, a sunburned or aging, our super cream can help. It can provide moisture, cell rejuvenation, antifungal benefits and reduction in inflammation. Super cream heals skin problem fast, leaving behind smooth and nursed beautiful skin.
Super cream can be used for eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, bruising, diaper rash, cradle cap, rashes, aging, sun spots and bruising.
Our super cream is made with calendula, comfrey and St. Johns wart which It is used for anything from eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and even anything from cradle cap to sunburns or diaper cream. The anti-inflammatory aspect and powerful healing properties, soothe and reduce the irritation, redness, and inflammation of these common skin problems, as well as heals and reduces scaring of the infected area. Unlike commonly used Pharmaceutical creams is not a steroid and is 100% natural which does not harm or irritate the tender young skin.
It can be used for sunburns, rashes or bug bites. Calendula and other herbs in it heal and soothe the skin after being exposed to many different environmental conditions.
It is also great for reducing the signs of aging because of its incredible ability to heal new tissue and skin cells fast. As we age we get wrinkles because our skin cell reproduction slows down. Thanks to our super cream we can speed up the process again as well as moisturizing and increasing its elasticity.

What does Calendula do?
Calendula is known as a healing plant because of it's soothing abilities. The herb is commonly used for cuts, scrapes, bruising, blisters, insect bites, and cold sores.
Calendula is used to disinfect wounds and to grow new tissue. This is why helps reduce and heal acne, fight against wrinkles, alleviate and reduce eczema and psoriasis.
Calendulas amazing ability to reduce inflammation and redness is why it helps so much with rosacea oh, and eczema and psoriasis. It also works on anything from a sun burn to a rash.
Calendula has anti-microbial compounds and anti-fungal agents which lead to quick healing and lessens chance of infection.
Calendula has been used for hundreds of years for the relief of dry, itchy or irritated skin. It soothes and hydrate skin that has been affected buy eczema, dermatitis and dandruff.
The herb is so gentle it can be used on the most sensitive of skins. Which is why it is used very commonly on children and babies.
Calendula has been found to assist in the process of aging. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds found in this herb protect against oxidative stress in human skin cells. Oxidative stress please another roll in the aging process and development of wrinkles.
Calendula has also been used for fast healing of wounds and the reduction of scarring. The herbs ability to increase blood flow and cell rejuvenation helps injuries heal quickly and free of infection.

One of the main benefits of using olive oil on the skin is wonderful moisturizing benefits it contains. It is Rich in natural glycerin and Vitamin E and A. Olive oil is a natural antioxidant which reduces the effect of the environment on the skin. Olive oil is close to our natural pH level of our skin leaving aunt balanced, neither oily or dry. It does not interrupt our skins normal functions and does not clog pores causing acne.
Soap
How does Olive Oil Soap work?
Olive Oil soap, also known as Castile soap has been around since the beginning of time. It originated in the Castile region of Spain and is is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory. Castile soap works by lifting dirt and grime to cleanse pores. It’s alkaline and naturally antibacterial properties clean the skin, while the oils soften and moisturise.
While it technically doesn’t kill germs, it has been proven to remove 99.9% of germs, through good o’l fashion washing, making it an excellent alternative to chemical soaps and disinfectants.
As a natural anti-inflammatory it helps to reduce redness and irritation, providing relief for sensitive skin types and soothing conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. It’s alkaline properties also help rebalance the skin’s PH, helping to reduce acne.

Do you ship internationally?
Currently we are focusing on our local markets, shipping to Canada and the USA. Shipping costs and timing jump significantly for international orders, so we figure most people wont want to pay for that.
However if you’re interested in our products and live outside North America please email us at info@hornbyislandsoap.ca. We’ll quote you on international shipping options, and see if we can make something work. We are more than happy to get our products out into the world!

When can I expect my order?
It usually takes us 1-3 business days to process your order. Once shipped, products usually arrive within the following timeframes.
NOTE: Canada Post has placed a Notice of Delay, as they adapt to increased demand for postal services and increased safety measures. Please allow an extra week or two for parcel delivery. We are working hard to pack and ship your orders as quickly as we can, so they can get on their way.

All are sent by expedited post, and come with a tracking number.

Do you only sell online?
During the warmer months, we frequent our local farmers markets on Vancouver Island. However we have decided to keep our distance while the current pandemic plays out so we are focusing on online sales. We are offering our entire range, with contactless pickup from our Courtenay Studio during this time.
Where are your products made?
All of our products are handcrafted in small batches by us on Canada’s beautiful west coast, Vancouver Island.
Our soaps, shampoo and laundry bars are handmade by our original soap mamma and partner, Coleen Work and Ron and myself, in her home studio on Hornby Island.
Creams, salves and all other recipes are crafted by Trina McNeice in her home studio on Vancouver Island.
Hornby Island and Courtenay are both part of the K’omoks Valley, BC, the traditional territory of number of indigenous bands who have come to be known as the K’omoks Nation. We acknowledge the traditional owners of this land and that sovereignty was never ceded.
